IMDFM training concluded
One week training course on Introduction to Modern Dairy Farm Management concluded at Solve Agri & Dairy Institute. The participatory appraisal and certificate distribution was organized on friday afternoon. Incharge, Solve Agri & Dairy Institute (SADI) Dr. Muhammad Rasheed highlighted the key outcomes of the training and expressed his gratitude for the participants for showing great interest in the participatory learning through out this training course. Speaking at the occasion, Solve Agri Pak's General Manager Dr. Waseem Shaukat urged the participants to utilize the knowledge they have gained through this training course for implementation in their professional life. He highlighted that Solve Agri Pak is committed to deliver par excellence and add-value in the livestock & dairy sector's development through a range of professional services including training, capacity building and advisory services while the company has also brought world's finest brands in terms of provision of supplies for the dairy farming sector in particular. He said that Solve Agri & Dairy Institute has been striving in professional capacity building of the HR involved in entire dairy value chain.


Some of the training participants also shared their views. Mr. Mustafa Darwan from Afghanistan appreciated the extensive training program that has substantially clarified the basics of modern dairy farm management for him. He said that this training will help in setting up dairy farm business in Afghanistan and he will be in a better position to manage his business. Dr. Shehzad Ahmad Soomroo from Sukkar, Sindh (Zonal Manager Agri Services, Engro Foods)lauded the training organizers and appreciated the participatory approach. He stressed that the SADI shall also organize specialized training course focused on single topic in order to grasp more advanced knowledge for the specific segments of dairy farming. Mr. Muhammad Rafi Raza who is Field Operations Manager at Dairy & Rural Development Foundation's USAID Dairy Project, said that the training has substantially improved his understanding towards modern dairy farming needs from an overall perspective.

In his address, renowned agri & livestock expert Mr. Hafiz Wasi Muhammad Khan urged the participants to consider this training as a door opening towards modern dairy farming knowledge. Chief guest Ms. Saira Iftikhar MPA (CEO Punjab Livestock & Dairy Development Board) appreciated Solve Agri Pak and the Solve Agri & Dairy Institute for their significant contribution in human resource development and professional competency enhancement for the dairy and livestock sector. She highlighted that the Punjab Livestock & Dairy Development is also striving for sustainable dairy development and urged that public-private partnership is the dire need for long term sectoral development. She appreciated the diverse group of participants who travelled from different parts of Punjab and Sindh as well as Afghanistan to attend this course and stressed that participants should contribute in sharing this knowledge with their co-workers and the farmers in order to enhance its utility. Later Ms. Saira distributed the certificates among the participants.
